DynamxMFG + Solidworks

From design file to production job. BOM and drawing data flowing from Solidworks to the shop floor without anyone re-keying a parts list.

What it does

The drawing office and the floor, connected

BOMs arrive complete

Bills of material come across from the design file rather than being retyped, which is where most part number errors start.

Drawings at the workstation

Operators see the right drawing against the job they are booked on, instead of hunting for the current version in a folder.

Revisions stay in step

When a design changes, production is working to the change rather than to the drawing that was printed last month.

How it works

Set up with you, not left to you

Your Solidworks connection is configured during your 90 day onboarding.

1

Map what matters

We agree what should flow between DynamxMFG and Solidworks, and who needs to see it.

2

We configure and test

Our team sets the connection up and tests it against your real data before anything goes live.

3

Run one source of truth

The link runs quietly in the background. Nobody exports anything, and both systems tell the same story.

“With DynamxMFG’s integration and automation capabilities, the possibilities are endless.”

Questions

Solidworks integration FAQs

What comes across from Solidworks?

Bill of material and drawing data, mapped to the parts and routings in DynamxMFG. The exact scope is agreed during setup.

Does this replace our PDM system?

No. If you run PDM it stays as the master for design data. DynamxMFG takes what production needs and puts it in front of operators.

How are design revisions handled?

Revision control is part of the setup, so the shop floor sees the current version rather than whatever was issued first.

We use another CAD package as well. Is that supported?

Tell us what you run. Where a direct connector does not exist, Make can usually bridge the gap.

Does the Solidworks integration cost extra?

It depends on the connector and your chosen platform licence. Book a demo and we will give you exact pricing for your stack.

Is our data secure?

Yes. Connections use secure, authenticated APIs and your data stays within your own accounts. Nothing is shared beyond the systems you choose to connect.
