We’re proud to announce our cloud-control technology is featuring at the 2018 Advanced Engineering show. We’ll showcase our production tracking software; built exclusively by manufacturers for manufacturers, bringing control and clarity to the whole production process. There’s a new launch in store. So, let’s discuss what Total Control Pro will be featuring in this year’s exhibition.
The Advanced Engineering Show
The Advanced Engineering show takes place at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, between 31st Oct – 1st Nov 2018. It’s the 10th anniversary edition of the UK’s largest gathering of manufacturing OEMs and supply chain partners. Companies congregate to connect, networking to discover more about Industry 4.0 and how to remain competitive. They’ll display and discuss the latest technological developments.
Techs innovators from around the world will meet at the exhibition, looking to source, specify and invest in the industries latest innovations. Therefore, we’ll showcase our innovative cloud-control tracking software, and new out-of-the-box product whilst advocating industry for principles and the Industry 4.0 elements it satisfies.
The Industry 4.0
The fourth industrial revolution is the current stepping-stone for automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies. Industry 4.0 includes an advance in cyber-physical systems and cloud computing. Accordingly, it fosters the new trend in ‘smart factories’ where digital monitoring of the production process is tracked. Cyber-physical systems co-operate, providing real-time data across the shop floor.
“Total Control Pro Application fulfils a vital role for SME uptake of some significant elements of the industry 4.0 and can be adopted and integrated in a way that is easier for companies to justify the ROI”
These elements consist of:
- Interoperability: When machines and people communicate via the Internet of Things (IoT).
- Information transparency: When information systems create a digital copy of physical processes using sensory data.
- Technical assistance: When information systems support humans by issuing comprehensive info to make decisions and solve issues.
Naturally, with the improvements in automation comes the possibility of organisational deskilling. This occurs when technology becomes advanced enough to replace the human element; reducing the cost of employee turnover, training and development. However, our software works alongside employees, eliminating the aspect of deskilling by assisting them in unison across the production process. Our cloud-control software aids employees, improving productivity as opposed to reducing job security.
P.S. If you’re attending the Advanced Engineering Show, don’t forget to join Dorian Smellie for his keynote speech on innovation and cloud technology!
