MRPeasy is Estonian-built, founded in 2014, and aimed at manufacturers and distributors with up to 200 employees. As of August 2026 its published pricing started at $49 per user per month on the Starter tier, rising to $149 on Unlimited. From the 11th user onward, users are added in bundles of 10 at a flat $79, which makes it very cheap once you have a lot of people on the floor. For that money you get a broad footprint: MRP, production planning and scheduling, multi-level BOMs, lot traceability, purchasing, sales orders and quotes, plus integrations with Xero and QuickBooks. You can start a trial the same afternoon without speaking to anyone. Around 4.5 out of 5 on Capterra from 157 reviews (August 2026) says a lot of customers are happy.

If your main problem is that stock and purchasing have outgrown spreadsheets, and your budget is a couple of hundred pounds a month, MRPeasy is a reasonable answer. We would say that to you on a call.

MRPeasy is inventory-first. It is very good at telling you what you have, what you need to buy and when. Job shops usually have a different set of questions:

• Where is job 4417 right now, and is it going to ship on Friday?
• Did we make money on the last batch of brackets, or did the second op eat the margin?
• Why did that job take eleven hours on the mill when we quoted six?
• Who can I ring in the UK when the system is not behaving on a Monday morning?

Those are shop floor and job costing questions. They are answered by what happens at each operation, captured as it happens, not by stock levels. That is the gap most switchers are trying to close.

MRPeasy has an operator interface, and so do most systems now. Having one is table stakes. The detail matters more: reviewers report that the layout is not touch-friendly on iPads, and that the start and stop buttons need to be much larger. BOM changes after release

Support from another time zone

MRPeasy has no UK implementation team. For some firms a self-serve help centre is fine. For others, having someone who can walk the factory floor during go-live is the difference between a system people use and one they work around.

In high-mix work, estimated cost is a guess made at quote stage. Actual cost is what the job really took: the machine hours, the labour at each operation, the setup that ran over, the scrap. The gap between the two is your margin, and most job shops only see it months later, if at all.

A system that is built around the shop floor closes that gap. When operators clock onto specific operations at the machine, actual time is captured against the job in real time. Give the vendor a real routing from last month. Ask them to show you how the system would report the actual cost against the quote, by operation. If the answer involves an export to Excel, you have your answer.

Change a BOM halfway through

Ask them to substitute a material on a released job, live, in the demo. Watch how many screens it takes.

Price the whole thing, not the headline
