Works Orders per Build
Every build runs on its own works order, with its own bill of materials and routing, tied to the drawing revision it was released against. When the design moves on, earlier builds keep the version they were made to, so a test result can be traced back to what was actually built.

Can it cope with a design that keeps changing?

How do we know which revision a build was made to?
The works order carries the revision it was released against, and every operation booked on it inherits that link. When a later build runs to a new revision, the earlier record does not change. Comparing two builds becomes a matter of reading the jobs rather than reconstructing history from drawing folders.
Does it suit one-off and small batch work?
Yes. Routings are built per job rather than pulled from a fixed standard, so a first article can carry the extra inspection and trial stages that a repeat build does not need. Jobs are scheduled against real capacity, which matters when a prototype and a production order want the same machine.
